Senior citizens day was celebrated on 26th of January 2014. Around 75 seniors were present for the programme. 9.30 am mass was celebrated for the senior citizens intentions. Rev. Fr. Dolphy, Cap, the director of Divine Mercy Prayer Centre Bejai was the main celebrant. Rev. Fr. Jesudas, the assistant parish priest of Pakshikere concelebrated. After the mass Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’ Souza, the parish priest of Pakshikere parish said prayer for the sick and old and anointed them. After the mass there was small stage programme. Mr. Monthu Lobo, the resident of Valencia Parish, the well known auto driver of Mangalore city was present for the programme as a chief guest. Fr. Andrew Leo D’ Souza introduced him and honored him for his valuable service to the society. Fr. Jesudas had conducted some games for the seniors. After the games all were given the gifts. Sumptuous meal was given to them. Catholic Sabha members and ICYM members coordinated the programme.
