On August 15, 2015, the parishioners along with the children of St. Jude English Medium School, celebrated Independence day. At 8 A.M there was Holy Eucharistic celebration with Fr. Clifford Fernandez as the main celebrant. After mass, all the people gathered in front of the flag post, and Our National Flag was hoisted by Fr. Clifford Fernandez. The children of St. Jude English Medium School presented some drill performance, speech and a Kannada patriotic song which gave a strong patriotic feeling in the hearts of all present. Children who had excelled in their studies and the winners of the recently held “Gadyant Ek Dees” by ICYM Kirem were honored by Fr. Clifford Fernandez. Fr. Andrew Leo Dsouza addressed the gathering. The program was ended by singing our National Anthem. Sweets were distributed for all.
