Aug 16, 2016: The Independence day celebration was held at Pakshikere parish on 15.8.2016. After the mass the flag hoisting ceremony was held in the church campus. Mr. Paul Miranda the director of the agricultural department of South Canara was the chief guest. He hoisted the flag and delivered the Independence Day speech. He explained the various government facilities available from the womb to the tomb for the citizens of India. Our St. Jude English Medium School children performed their drill exercises and other cultural programs – speeches, patriotic songs, dance etc. All people enjoyed the program of tiny tots the program concluded with the national anthem. At the end Laddus were distributed for all people.
