Aug 21, 2017: Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at St Jude Church premises, Pakshikere on 15-August-2017. The ceremony started at 9 a.m. with large crowd of staff, students, parents and parishioners.
Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto - the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’souza – Correspondent and the Parish Priest of St Jude Church, Pakshikere, Mr Jackson Saldanha - Vice president of Parish Pastoral Council were present on the stage. Prayer Song was sung by the school choir group. Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’souza welcomed the gathering.
To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. The students of St Jude English Medium and Kannada Medium performed the cultural programme and at the end sweets were distributed. Br Joyan D’costa, Regent of Pakshikere Church delivered the vote of thanks.
