Sep 08: ‘Monthi Festh’ the birth day of Mother Mary was celebrated with much joy in the parish. The celebration began with the blessing of the new corn at the market place. Then the statue of Mother Mary was brought to the parish in the procession. The children offered flowers at the Grotto of Mother Mary. The feast day mass began at 8:00am. Rev. Peter Paul was the main celebrant of the day. Rev. Fr.Sunil Pinto gave his message on the importance of Mothni Festh and family union. Rev. Andrew conveyed his feast day wishes to all and blessed the congregation.
The parish donors and sponsors were honoured at the end. This time as a parish family everyone was served with new corn with payasam (vorn).Sugar cane was distributed to all the parishioners. Wish you all a happy and peaceful Monthi Festh.
Following children have won prizes in the quiz on Mother Mary. It was conducted by Rev. Andrew D'Souza on the occasion of feast.
