Oct 27:As the final preparation for the feast of St.Jude, Vespers was held on 26-10-11 at 6:30pm. The parishioners had gathered near the market for the procession. Rev.Fr.Andrew S’Souza welcomed the gathering and spoke on the significance of the day. He wished the non-Christians a happy Diwali celebration and prayed for God’s blessings. Rev. Joseph Marits, the Rector of St.Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu was the main celebrant of the day. He crowned the statue of St.Jude which was brought in procession to the parish. All parishioners were given colourful candles which were lit during the procession. The procession looked colourful and grand. The statue of St.Jude was brought in a beautifully decorated van to the parish.
In the parish Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis preached the word of God. He highlighted the need for sharing and forgiveness. A short adoration was held at the end. A wonderful display of crackers added glittering to the celebration. The parish youth joined the band with few steps.
