Rev. Fr. Johnson D'mello celebrated his first thanksgiving mass at our parish on 27th April, 2013 along with his family members and the whole parish community. Rev.Fr.Johnson D'mello was ordained priest on 25th of April along with three other deacons at St.Ann's Friary, Bejai by the Bishop of Mangalore. He belongs to the order of Capuchin Friars, Holy Trinity Province of Karnataka. The mass was con-celebrated by Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D'Souza, Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto and priests of his province.
Rev. Fr. Johnson D'mello is the son of Mr. Jerome and Mrs. Irene D'mello of Nityadhar ward of our parish. He has two elder brothers, Mr. Jeevan and Mr. Jason D'mello. He joined the Franciscan Order in 2002. After finishing his priestly studies at various places , he was ordained priest. This mass was his first mass as a priest, which he wanted to celebrate at his native parish. The mass was followed by a felicitation program organised by the parish. Then the gathering was served with dinner arranged by the D'mello family.
