Mother Marys birthday, popularly known as "Monthi Fest" was celebrated with all grandeur and solemnity. In view of the feast 9 days Novena was held and flowers were offered to Mother Mary. On the Feast Day, 8 Sept 2014, there was procession of New Statue of Our Lady of Vailankanni. It was installed in the newly built grotto, facing the road.
New corns were blessed and flowers were offered to Infant Mary before the grotto. There was a solemn Eucharistic Celebration, followed by new corn’s distribution. At the end paisam, laddus and sugarcane were given to all.
Adding to the celebration, in the evening Rangoli and Tug-of-War were held. Prizes were given and the day concluded with joy and happiness.
