Catechism Day was held on 26th February 2017 at our St. Jude Thaddeus Church & Shrine, Pakshikere. Most of the children participated in the day. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by our Asst. Parish Priest Fr. Patrick Sequeira. He preached about importance of catechesis in our life. The liturgy was conducted by the catechism teachers.
After the holy Eucharist all the children were gathered in our Mini Hall for the stage program. 10th std. student Riyana welcomed the gathering. Then the main guests of day Fr. Andrew Leo D’souza, Fr. Patrick Sequeira, vice president Jackson Saldanha, secretary Carol Cutinho and the chief guest of the day Sr. Leera B.S from Kinnigoli were called upon to the stage.
After the prayers all the guests gave a short message to the children. Then the children were awarded for their performances in the present catechism year. After the stage program children presented the cultural program. The program ended with a sumptuous meal. All the children were happy. All the people and parish priest Fr. Andrew Leo thanked assistant parish priest Fr. Patrick for organizing the catechism year systematically.
