Aug. 09, 2017: "Calvary Garden" was inaugurated at Pakshikere Church premises on Tuesday 8th August 2017. The newly built Calvary Garden and ‘bust’ (Statue) of Late Fr Stanley R. Periera - founder of St Jude Shrine Pakshikere was inaugurated and blessed by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Fr. Denis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese.
The Programme began with the Prayer Service. Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’souza, the Parish Priest of Pakshikere Church delivered introductory speech. During his speech he highlighted on Founder’s love towards the poor and the mission. Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto was present for the programme.
At this joyful occasion St Jude Association was inaugurated by launching the Logo by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Fr. Denis Moras Prabhu. After the inauguration Holy Eucharist was celebrated in memory of fourth death anniversary of Late Fr Stanley R. Periera. After the novena sponsors of Calvary Garden were honored. Entire celebration concluded with the adoration conducted by Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’souza.The Programme ended with the fellowship meal. More than 650 parishioners, pilgrims and St Jude English Medium School children witnessed this auspicious programme.
