“Faith can move mountains”, only if you learn to persevere in it; only if you love what you believe and only if spread this love with others. On the 9th of June 2018, a meeting was called for to emphasize that catechism classes had to commence on the 10th of the same month being a Sunday.
Rev. Fr. Melwyn Noronha encouraged the catechism teachers not only to teach virtues but also to encourage the students to enrich their faith in God as well as the Church. Sr. Florine OP was elected as the coordinator of the catechism classed for the academic year 2018-2019. Sr. Reena was appointed as the teacher for the nursery section to the 2nd standard students; Mrs. Grace Miranda was appointed as the teacher for the 3rd standard students, Mr. Nigel Dominic Miranda was appointed as the teacher for the 4th standard students to the 6th standard students, Mrs. Nathalia Fernandez was appointed as the teacher for the 7th standard students, Mrs. Shaila D'Souza was appointed as the teacher for the 8th standard students, Mrs. Cynthia D'Souza was appointed as the teacher for the 9th standard students, Sr. Florine OP was appointed as the teacher for the 10th standard students and Mr. Avitash Sequeira, Mr. Sheldon Williams , Mr. Chethan Rodrigues were appointed as the animators of YCS.
The inauguration of the catechism year began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist which followed by the oath taking ceremony of the teachers, the liturgy was taken by the teachers of the catechism.
