Community Wedding celebration

Oct 24, 2018 : “It should be our duty to bring up young people by providing religious discipline and values. We should extend helping hand to those who are economically backward and show them the way to success,” said bishop emeritus of Mangaluru diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D’ Souza.

He was speaking after performing free Mass wedding rituals held in Pakshikere St Jude Church & Shrine on the eve of its annual festival. Chief priest of the centre, Fr Melwin Noronha said that marriage that is based on sacrifice, trust and forgiveness brings about happiness. Seven couples got married on the occasion. Kinnigoli church chief priest Fr Mathew Vas, Pakshikere St Jude Church & Shrine assistant priest Fr Rahul D’ Souza, Sr Margaret, Pakshikere church parish pastoral council vice president Jackson Saldanha, secretary Carrol and others were present.
