“Save trees, save the earth, we are the guardians of nature’s birth”

The time has come for us to wake up from the deep sleep in slumber to create a newer and a greener earth by planting more seeds so that it will grow in to a plant, which will later grow into beautiful trees that will give life to all who go to it.

The ICYM unit of Pakshikere in collaboration with the YCS of the Pakshikere unit organized a ‘Vanamohatsava’ program at the premises of St. Jude Church and Shrine at 9.00am on the 22nd of July, 2018. The program was inaugurated by Rev Fr. Melwyn Noronha by planting a sapling in the church premises. Saplings were distributed to all the parishioners with the aim that there will be a greener earth in the years to come; just as the English proverb says “Charity begins at home” the parishioners with enthusiasm took the pledge to nurture those plants that they took with utmost love and care to protect nature as responsible guardians of nature’s birth.
