April 06:Good Friday liturgical ceremony began in our parish at 4:00pm with the receiving of the crosses from different wards. Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza received the crosses brought in procession by the respective ward Gurkars. The Way of Cross was then conducted by Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto in the audio visual form. The Way of the Cross was based on the movie ‘The Passion of Christ’. The rest of the ceremony continued with the veneration of the cross and communion. The Gospel was sung by Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza , Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto and the parish choir. The final part of the liturgy included veneration to the body of Christ. The body was brought inside the church in procession and parishioners venerated the body with flowers. The day’s liturgy was very meaningful and reminded everyone the passion of Jesus for the humankind. Rev. Fr. Andrew D'Souza also started the novena to the Divine Mercy of Christ. The parishioners were distributed with the picture and novena leaflet of Divine Mercy of Christ.
