June 1:The dream of starting an English Medium school was
realised on 1st of June as the St. Jude Kindergarten School was
inaugurated at the parish premises. The school is named as St. Jude
English Medium School and Kindergarten would be its first step in
building further classes. The inauguration function was held at the
parish hall at 9:00am and as guests Rev. Fr. Dennis Prabhu, (V.G of
Mangalore diocese), Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza , Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto, Mr.
Dolphi Miranda, Rev. Sr. Sheeba, Miss Teresa Sequeira, Mrs. Jospin
Barnes, Mrs. Mable Cutinha and Mrs. Dora Peris were present.
As the teachers of these classes Rev. Sr. Judy and Rev. Sr. Anna were welcomed. They are from the Dominican Sisters of Holy Rosary order. Rev. Fr. Dennis Moras inaugurated the program and gave his message. Then Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza addressed the parents of children about the facilities provided by the school and the future expectations. It is very encouraging to see already 50 children being admitted to the school. The first step towards this venture looks very positive and in future establishing into a full-fledged school.
We congratulate Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto and the parish council for taking up this new project and wish success for the future. The programme was coordinated by Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto and Mrs. Jospin Barnes proposed the vote of thanks. We thank Mr. Eugene Sequeira for sponsoring refreshments of the day.
