Arch inauguration

May 09: It was a joyous moment for all in St.Jude Thaddeus Parish, Pakshikere as the final project, The Arch Mahadwara was inaugurated on 08.05.2011.Over the past one year the Parish had undertaken several projects as a part of its Golden Jubilee Year celebrations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Arch was donated by Mr.Bernard D souza in fond memory of his late father Mr.Robert Dsouza and in honor of his mother Mrs.Rejina D’souza, Konganal, Pakshikere. Mrs Rejina inaugurated the Dwara by cutting the ribbon and the blessing of the Dwara was done by Episcopal Vicar of Udupi district, Most Rev.Baptist Menezes. The Kinnigoli Varado Vicarvar Rev.Alfred Pinto Rev Fr Oswald Monteiro, the Director of the Rusemp, Rev Fr Charles Menezes, Rev Fr.Rev Fr Alban D’Souza Parish Priest, Rev Fr Anil D’Souza Assistant Parish Priest were too present during the occasion. After the inauguration all gathered in the church for the Eucharistic celebration. The main celebrant Episcopal Vicar of Udupi district, Most Rev.Baptist Menezes gave his message on the aspect of parenthood and Christian faith. The whole family of Mrs.Rejina D souza was present for the mass to thank God for all the favours they received.

 

 

 

 

As the  second part of the celebration felicitation programme was held in the church premises. The guests list included Episcopal Vicar of Udupi district, Most Rev.Baptist Menezes as the president of the function. Mr.M.P.Noronha , well known advocate of Mangalore was the chief guest. The Kinnigoli Varado Vicarvar Rev.Alfred Pinto, Rev.Fr.Stanly Periera, the first Parish Priest, Rev.Sr.Catherin, Superior Little Sisters of the Poor, Mangalore, Mrs.Rejina D souza, the parish priests Rev.Fr.Alban D souza, Rev..Fr.Anil Dsouza, Parish Vice President Mr.Dolphi Miranada and Secretary Mrs.Lucy Dsouza were present on the dais.

The donor of the Arch Mrs.Rojina Dsouza was felicitated by the EpiscopalVicar of Udupi district, Most Rev.Baptist Menezes. He also felicitated the Engineer Mr.Francis Tellis, the Contractor, Mr.Walter D souza and the architect Mr.Chandran on this event. The President and the Chief Guest delivered their message. They were all in praise for the wonderful works that are happening in the parish by the grace of God and the unceasing intercessions of  St.Jude Thaddeus. Mrs.Zita Cutinho thanked all who made this evening successful.

After the formal programme a spectacular cultural show was put up by the famous  “Mand sobhan” group, Mangalore. During the cultural event snacks and cold drinks were served. At the end a grand dinner was served for over thousand people which too sponsored by Mrs.Rojina Dsouza and family. As the final act of the day everyone joined the Baila on stage and off stage moving their steps for the beat.
