A Renovated Cemetery Inauguration

May 17: The inauguration of the renovated cemetery took place on 15th May 2011.This was the last project among the several others initiated as a part of the Golden Jubilee Year of the Parish St Jude Pakshikere. Rev. Fr. Basil Vas, the present parish priest of Alangaar Church and the former parish priest of Pakshikeere Church inaugurated and blessed the new cemetery. A short prayer service was held in the cemetery.

Latter Rev. Fr. Basil Vas celebrated the mass and Fr. Alban, Fr. Anil, Fr Charles and Fr Richard concelebrated with him. He gave an inspirational sermon on the theme, ‘Jesus the Good Shephered’. Rev. Fr. Basil Vas then felicitated by Fr. Alban and Fr. Anil, and was presented with a memento. During this time Fr. Basil Vas thanked the parish priests and the parishioners for remembering him during various occasions. At the end of the inauguration the gathering was served with tea and snacks.
