Confraternity Sunday

Oct 24:On 23-10-2011 Confraternity Sunday was celebrated in the parish as preparation for the up coming annual feast of St.Jude. The programme began at 4:30pm with the Offertory Procession from the market place. People from in and around the parish had contributed their offerings in kind, which was gathered in the market place. Rev.Fr. Andrew D’Souza, thanked everyone for their generous offerings. The mass began at 5:00pm in the parish. Rev. Fr. Alban D’Souza was the main celebrant, who also preached in Kannada during the Eucharistic Procession. The offerings are collected for the Annasantharpane (Festive Meal) which will be held on 25-10-2011 with Community Wedding celebrations. The procession went on well with no rain interrupting the celebrations.

First the statue of St.Jude was bought in procession from the Market place along with offerings and later the Blessed Sacrament was taken in procession with beautifully decorated chariot. Rev.Fr.Andrew D’Souza and Rev.Fr. Sunil Pinto thanked everyone for making this day in to success.
